Congratulations. One down, two to go.

Mois je have an older brother, smoker of perhaps 10+ years. He has recently quit cold turkey as well, and although I’d like to think I inspired him to quit, we live in the real world, and therefore, I will settle for “I quit first” and bragging rights.

He has always wanted to quit. He planned for it and I have always known he would do it.

I have known that because he was one of those people perpetually smoking down (switching from stronger cigs to less so). He also managed to not smoke inside his place which is pretty much half the battle won. It is more than I have ever managed to do when I smoked.

His plan was to move in the new apartment with the wifey and the 2 catsies, start doing yoga and quit smoking. He moved. He didn’t start the yoga yet but he did quit smoking. Which tells us that yoga is obviously the bigger commitment.

He is in his second week and feels he has not yet regained all of his clearness. Sounds quite familiar. Do not worry, the focus will creep back and you will become sharper than before. Or rather just as sharp as before you smoked.

Congratulations to you, I am very proud of you! The parents are next.
